Temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper for a temporary assignment with a growing Tampa-area organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who can independently manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support month-end reporting. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
* Manage full-cycle bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and general ledger maintenance
* Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close activities
* Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
* Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review
* Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and expense tracking
* Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure data integrity
* Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and outstanding items
* Assist with process improvements and documentation of accounting procedures
* Support audit requests and special accounting projects as needed
* Utilize accounting software and Excel to analyze and maintain financial data
* 3+ years of full charge bookkeeping or full-cycle accounting experience
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
* Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting
* Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and reconciliations
* Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
* Competitive hourly pay of $25 - $32 per hour
